Dogwood tree w soft focus5.jpg
Photograph #ILO1This beautiful pink dogwood tree is located near the park headquarters at Taughannock State Park. Dick had photographed it in the spring for many years but never obtained an image which satisfied him. Finally, on a very foggy morning, with the tree in full bloom, he was able to separate the tree from its background and show the blossoms in their full glory.

Hale-Bopp overCayuga5x7 .jpg
Photograph #HB1On the evening of April 2, 1997, with calm weather and clear skies, Dick drove to Stewart Park. He located his camera so that the Comet was positioned above a willow tree near the lake. With the tree slightly illuminated by lights from a building behind him he exposed his film for 15 seconds to capture this image.

Photograph #SW1This image was captured by Harriet, at Santa Fe. The location was Canyon Rd. Dick and Harriet had separated with their cameras and Harriet, while exploring a back alley, came across this scene. She left everything untouched, including the folded rug, which adds to the interest of the scene. This photograph has won awards at Kodak and was hung at the Memorial Art Gallery in Rochester as part of the Finger Lakes Exhibition.

Photograph #ILO5This beautiful spiral mahogany staircase was located in the Rose Inn, a B & B just north of Ithaca. A fire in 2004 destroyed the staircase and the section of the Inn which housed it. Unfortunately it will not be rebuilt.

Waiting_for_Breakfast_.jpg
Waiting for breakfastHarriet came across this group of 10 cats (yes, look carefully and you will find the 10th). They were all (almost all) standing at attention waiting for the farmer to give them breakfast.
